The other day I was at a press event with my friend Kristen Knisley from Waterworks and saw the most gorgeous set of bowls for the fall.
From artist Friedemann Buehler, each oversized hand-turned bowl is made from a single piece of Sycamore, harvested only from previously felled trees in the forests of Hohenlohe, Germany. With walls as thin as tea cups and a smooth, luxurious hand, these bowls would look beautiful in a master bath filled with sponge coral. I can also imagine the large one, 21 inches across, piled high with driftwood and placed on a sideboard. Crafted of exquisite quality, these Sycamore bowls are the antiques of tomorrow.
