Just got off the Jitney after a great weekend out in Quogue. I’m going to be helping my friends Jackie and Chris transform this 1960s ranch
into a beautiful, sophisticated Hamptons beach house, so stay tuned!
Teddy, their adorable Lakeland Terrier, is so excited for the new house, he can hardly stand it!
I found some great stuff out there too. Check out this gorgeous pair of 1940s carved wood pedestal bases.
And how great is this Victorian, engine-turned bridal basket going to look once it’s all polished up?
One of my favorite stops of the afternoon was definitely this farm stand in East Quogue. The strawberries were so good, we ate a whole carton full before we even left!
The homemade jams too I thought were pretty. I love a little bit of grape jam on my morning toast.
For an early dinner, we all headed to one of Jackie and Chris’s favorite spots, Canal Cafe, a great little place in Hamptons Bay they’ve been going to for years.
From our table, Jacks and I had great views of the Hampton Watercraft Marina on the Shinnecock Canal.
But the best part was definitely the lobster rolls! They’re packed with fresh lobster meat and served on homemade ciabatta rolls. So yummy…
Hello Eddie and Jaithan!
Did you ever name your passion fruit
cocktail? I made your easy sangria recipe
yesterday for the Fourth, and it was a
HUGE hit!! I put it in a big jar with lid,
a silver ladle (like you suggested), and
set it in a big copper tub on a rot iron stand. We poured bags of ice around
the jar to keep chilled, then served in
Mason jars. SO fun! Sounds like you all had a great time in Quogue…Love all the
photos! I could eat lobster rolls for days! Have a great week!
