After a week in beautiful Southern California, filled with family, friends, delicious food and lots of great antique finds, I'm definitely going to need to ease back into things on the home front. Here I am with my good friend Andrea Schroder from Top Design at an awesome antique mall in Santa Monica. Jaithan and I are heading back tonight, so for the full story on all the week's events, including the great stuff Andrea and I found together, come back tomorrow! And don't worry, everyone. I have plenty of holiday ideas in the works for all that entertaining and decorating we're going to be doing in the coming weeks!

How fun that you and Andrea were able to get together. How’s her design career going?
I am new to your blog and I must say that I’m enjoying it so much. I like to “peek” in and see what you’re up to. Happy Holidays!

Eddie, can’t wait to see what you found. From what I can see, it looks like a neat place to shop!!
Hi Eddie, it is so nice that you saw Andrea. I liked her on the show too! She had some great ideas. I’m anxious to see all your wonderful finds and ideas. Have a great day!
I can’t wait to see what goodies you have in store for us!! I find your blog so inspiring! Thanks!
Eddie,
You enthuse me!
I love your blog……
And obviously everyone loves you, sooo many friends you have.

Eddie — You are fabulous and so talented. I have a holiday entertaining question, and I am hoping you can help. I love serving as an hors d’oeuvre a wedge of manchega cheese with quince paste, crackers and almonds on the side. The cheese comes with a hard rind on it. If I cut off the rind before serving, the cheese looks half-eaten even before the guests arrive. However, if I leave it on, it is difficult for guests to cut themselves a piece of cheese. What do you suggest?
Andrea is adorable…I’ll bet you guys had so much fun! Have a safe trip home!!!
xoxo

I’m really looking forward to seeing what you found and to continuing to be inspired by you! We ordered a new dining room table, chairs and buffet yesterday and can’t wait to set things up for Christmas.
I hope you and Jaithan were able to really relax and enjoy Thanksgiving! Have an awesome rest of your week!
Awesome, my 2 favorite designers! Could it get any better than that? Can’t wait!
Happy returns ๐ Hope the trip was fun and restful. I got my 1950’s glass ornaments out the other day and thought “What would Eddie do with these?” So I’m letting the creativity flow, and suddenly it’s Christmas! I also hope you got some compliments on the bracelets ๐ So happy you liked them.
Best,
Christie
Eddie,
Can’t wait to see your inspiring ideas for the upcoming holidays!!
Colleen
i’m on the edge of my seat…
Have a safe trip home. I can’t wait to hear more about your CA antique finds and to see what decorating ideas you have up your sleeve for Christmas.
Hurry, can’t wait see what you got! Could it be a log? lol Oh,a log would look great on a table for Christmas too!
I. . .cannot. . . wait. . .to see your holiday ideas!!! Yeah!!!
Keep inspiring us Eddie ๐
Blessings,
Sher
You have given me an idea? A log in my windows with candles, not real ones of course. Where I live everyone has one candle in a window. I have to find the logs first!
Yay, can’t wait!
Eddie: I don’t think we can allow any more “cross country jaunts” unless you take the digital and the laptop. I had cranky withdrawal symptoms.
Seriously, glad you both had a great time. Can’t wait to see your Holiday treats!
What, Eddie? Visiting my state? No hello, no visit?
The nerve! Lol!
Hey Eddie,
I found your blog through Rhoda, at Southern Hospitality. I love your ideas, and can’t wait to see what ya’ll have in store for Christmas. I wish we had more thrift stores like those you’ve posted about on your blog. I’m so envious. Glad to meet you:) I love your blog!!
Looking forward to reading about your holiday in California and visit with Andrea. I thought she had a great eye for design despite her lack of confidence because of her educational background in the industry. Some people just have it….Like you Eddie(or is Jaithan the real talent?:-)) Happy holidays.
Imagine just being able to dash over to Torrey Pines โ now that is true luxury! I haven’t been there for more years than I will admit, but you brought back a cherished memory. Thanks.
