We're off to shoot the holiday special for HGTV, but in the meantime, here's a taste of fall from the farm. Check out how tall our sunflowers grew this year!
They lent the perfect amount of shade for all those summer meals on the porch. And now that the weather upstate has turned chill and the leaves begun
to change, I thought I'd do a quick, casual arrangement in all the colors of the
season, hoping to inspire your inner florist.
The vintage pitcher is one of my favorites this time of year—pewter with a beautiful, burnished patina. See you in a few days, everyone!
Gorgeous Eddie… I think these deeper coloured sunflowers are so much prettier than the buttercup yellow ones in France.
I wonder if those little sunflower seeds would grow like that here, or if they just knew that they were living at your house and said>”We really must grow, cause we are gonna be in pictures”-
Good luck to you, (not that you need any) You will be fab!

Now that is what autumn looks like! And I love the shingled exterior of your home.
I love sunflowers, and keep meaning to try growing some one day. They look gorgeous in your pitcher.

I am thinking this…Your farm should be and will be on my BUCKET LIST! Nothing would be better than to hang with you and Jaithen for a bit. I know I would be busting with inspiration. Your farm is simply, lovely!
Sunflowers are the Kansas State Flower. I love that pewter vase, It is glowing with reflections. Tomorrow I will have a new post and a tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness month.
P.S. Just saw the pictures from the farm in Lonny Mag. A-freaking-mazing. If you ever need a house sitter….:)
these are beautiful! now I think I need some for my pewter pitcher … will have to check the farmers’ market this weekend (and make a mental note to plant some next year).
Your sunflowers are so pretty! I did a post just now that I think you will like… check it out!
Oh, sunflowers, I love them in wild gardens, gating the entrance to fairies and autumn fantasy….
It’s so good to see these things, right?
Eddie…I’ve already pulled up all of my summer flowers. You make me sorry I didn’t leave them in the ground longer. Be sure and save the sunflowers for the birds. ♥Rosemary
Perfect! Simply perfect!
HGTV how wonderful Eddie…
Your flowers sure did well !!!
Kathy 🙂
I love your sunflower post. I am a sunflower aficianado having spent various parts of my life in Kansas and France. Those sunflowers look particularly beautiful against the color of your house. I did a post on Sept. 14 “Soft air/Golden sight”, you might enjoy.
