I was out and about this week, propping for a Woman's Day shoot, when this stylish ginger jar caught my eye.
I've been obsessed with all things pheasant and in colors spot on for the season, this one I just couldn't resist.
Enjoy the weekend, everyone, and happy fall!
Hi Eddie and Jaithan,

I LOVE this! The colors are amazing! I am with you on the pheasants – well, I have a weakness for birds of all kinds. Have a great weekend!
Eddie, I think you out did yourself this time and that is totally saying something! I don’t think I could love this arrangement any more than I do! Orange/Peach roses are my absolute FAVORITE (I totally love the ones that have the striations of the two!). Is this going to be part of the Womans Day shoot? I sure hope so…it’s too FABULOUS! …plus I think you’ve made me think of the ginger jars in my living room that my parents bought years ago at an estate auction in a whole new light! THANK YOU!
Oh and I LOVE that you posted these Halloween Goodie Links! I’ll be in Disney World but I’m still doing a bit of decorating! THANKS!
Gorgeous!!
I absolutely love ginger jars….they are classic and timeless!

Absolutely beautiful. I love the colors and the texture you added. Such a beautiful piece to use for a vase.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work this fall.

I think my favorite part is the green leaves you left on. They really pop against the paler fall colors. Beautiful.
What are the fuzzy guys called?
What a beautiful ginger jar, I’m smitten with all things orange or melon colored at the moment! And your floral arrangement makes it even more lovely!
Enjoy the weekend, it’s going to be gorgeous weather!
Kat 🙂

Very elegant…those flowers (so pretty) are loving that beautiful jar! The coral and quince-like colors are a refreshing *and* fresher take on the usual fall tones.
Another glorious home run!

Only you could see the beauty in that garish combo of coral & red. Love it!
You have such a great “eye” for color combinations…just stunning!
Love the color mix. Have a great weekend. Relax. Do you ever do that? Do any of us ever do that?
That would make a spectacular painting! Gorgeous!!!!

Stunning!!Hmm… would look great in my ‘soon to be ‘ terra cotta living room.
Love, love, love. It’d look marvelous in my own home. 🙂 Happy weekend!
You have such a gift for turning the ordinary into extraordinary! Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us!
Great inspiration E&J, I just took a screenshot of the jar. It will be perfect in one of my paintings! Have a lovely weekend xox
I love that, “obsessed with all things pheasant…” lol…it really made me stop and wonder for just a moment…I like the thought of that!!
Gorgeous as usual, I love the little white flowers that stick out at the top. So perky against the usually more serious roses!
Enjoy this beautiful weather this weekend, it is supposed to be stellar.
hey e and j, love the jar, but the flowers really make it pop! our good china is royal crown derby’s ‘old avesbury’…similiar in colors only with a dash of purple! and of course with pheasants or similiar birds… love them!
Speaking of pheasants, I have a serving dish that is ringed with glass pheasants that was my moms. I always thought, as a child, that it was the weirdest thing in our house. Now it is one of the treasures in my own house. Thanks for the memories, Eddie.
* Eddie, altho I visit alot, it’s been a while since I’ve dropped you a note, and THIS is the time to do it, because THIS is SOOOOO DARNRIGHT PRETTY!!!
The ginger jar & the flowers you chose for it are “MY” colors and YES, I actually COLLECT PHEASANT & QUAIL things, too! (We have quail everywhere here in the desert, & it’s fun to see them all the time, drinking water out of the pool… they’re soooooo sweet!!!
Sending blessings to you & Jaithan~

Eddie and Jaithan- Happy Fall to you, too! It’s a great weekend! Beautiful arrangement, especially with those whimsical fuzzies!

What is it about pheasants? I love them, too. Especially the Asiatic Pheasant pattern on old dishes. I have collected brown, purple and pale blue. So pretty. Oh, and the vintage aqua Murano glass pheasant that I just found at Goodwill for 3.00! Have a good weekend.
Reminds me of
a beautiful arrangement
straight out of a
painting from the
Art Institute! The
perfect combination
of flowers and vessel.
Love it!
