Here's a little taste of our next window for fabric house Carleton V, a pretty-in-pink jewel box for the Palm Beach set.
Beginning with a 1960s faux bamboo chair, plucked from a Goodwill…
I spray painted it yellow…
…made a template for a cushion…
…cut and folded my fabric, filled it with batting, hot glued it together (a stylist's trick) and voilà !
Spring, anyone?
Come back next week for the finished window!
Eddie I am already excited to see the rest!! Great color palette! I adore your windows!

Um, that is adorable…… I’ll take 10 please. Why are you so awesome?
Loved watching you on HGTV btw. You were the winner (with no contest/nada) from episode one in our opinion.
ADORE your blog- it inspires me daily. I’ve been a Martha follower since I was 17, and endured lots of teasing for it, but it paid off! (I now teach Interior Design, Nutrition, and Child Dev. at a high school)

As you were spray painting a chair yellow I was spray painting a mirror from silver to gold. Incredible what a difference a bit of paint can make! I can’t wait to see the results.
Eddie-
I’ve been obsessed with this window at the d&d and I didn’t know you were the genius behind it! Love it!

Yes, please!!
Can’t believe
it’s window time,

You are off to a
beautiful start!
xx Suzanne
Great chair, regularly visits to the thrift store can really pay off. Love the way you pulled the least used color in the fabric, the bright yellow, for the chair color.
That chair just screams spring! And I can’t believe you got it at Goodwill!
DELICIOUS! Another Carleton V window … and I LOVE the happy colors! There’s just something about pinks, greens and butter yellows that makes you happy. My daughter and I were in West Virginia at the Greenbriar a few years ago and the colors inside were bright and cheerful there too … it felt like a happy playground, as I’m sure this beautiful Carleton V window will! I just soak up your window posts! Heaven!
oooh i can’t wait to see! i’m in nyc later this week, so i’m hoping to grab a sneak peek then 🙂
Holy Smokes! Can’t wait to see how it all turns out. I’m sure it will be beyond gorgeous! xo

Ah yellow…one of my many favorite colors, it’s the color I chose for my first home’s living room, dining room and hallway! What a gorgeous quick little makeover…makes me long for spring even more! Oh Spring we need you NOW!!! Hope you all are well! xx Danielle
I love how you are toting that chair away like a handbag. Hilarious!
Okay, I can’t stand it anymore. Where on earth are the Goodwills you shop at? I can only imagine them being near the chicest of towns. Mine definetly never have the likes of that chair. I’ve been looking for exactly thst chair. You must have picked up mine by mistake!!:). I live vicariously through you, just so you know, lol!!
Yeppy! I can’t wait to see what you’ve created! Have a happy weekend:)
You are adorable and so is that chair.
What’s your schedule this week?
