Here's another quick makeover from my story in the Easy Decorating issue of Woman's Day.
Take a store-bought mirror like this one from Lowe's in a great, octagonal shape.
Now etch your monogram on it, using the same techniques I used here on a drinking glass and here on handblown hurricanes. Repurpose a doorknob and add ribbon for a more decorative look
Now who's the fairest of them all?
Beautiful!
xx
Absolutely lovely…Mst use this in my own home!!!
E & J This is wonderful & brings back memories of our Etched Glass Hurricanes with Creative Candles. That was one of the best and fun days ever!!

My mother would finish off your post title with “make him rich and make him tall”… 😉
Certainly I will be the fairest of them all once I make a mirror to hang upon my wall.
You always come up with the best and original ideas!

It’s on my list of things to try this summer!
That is vintage mod style Eddie!
YOU.KNOCKED.MY.SOCKS.OFF(Again!) Gawd, you inspire me ER! Thanks! ABG
So creative and simple. Thanks Eddie.
OOOh, I love the etched monogram idea! It is so easy too.
Mirrors are great but they can easily be over used, they don’t need to be in every room. What makes yours interesting is it also reflects the accessories you’ve placed in front of them, very nice!
Wow – your changes turned a boring mirror into one that is so elegant!
Had my attention with monogram! Let’s change that ‘H’ to a ‘C’ and it will be hanging up here!

Hmmmmm?!! this just might be the answer for my matching mirror dilema.I need two matching mirrors on the sides of my armoire. I am going to have to ponder on this great idea. Thanks for always inspiring me Eddie! xo Kathysue
Hi guys,
Another smashing idea! Lowes are very lucky to have you as ambassadors. I can see sales of mirrors and sconces doubling – at least!
I am back from my whirlwind trip to Stockholm – and you will see more of me.
Hugs to you both, Mon
love this idea! I think monograms are so sophisticated and this is so unexpected. Will you guys move in with me?
Love the idea of the etched monogram…looks great!!
Perfect!! Love the etched glass, what a fantastic look.
Another reflection of your amazing creativity and talent!!!
Here’s looking at YOU!
xoxo Elizabeth

Hello hello! Hope all is well over there in Summer wonderland.
Loving the etching on the mirror. I missed that earlier tutorial and am so glad you showed me the way. I must do this on something. Adoring the look and so great for gifts!

You just took that mirror from something I’d throw away to something I’d purchase. Great job!
Clever!!
You’re the fairest one of all! I bought this magazine and loved your story.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Debra

Loretta
Can I even tell you how much I love that monogrammed mirror? You know what I love so much about your style? It is so incredibly accessible and everything you do screams comfortable, loving home. It’s so refreshing to see what design can be without the major price tag. You make it within reach and doable. Love that about you guys. Really.
Now that’s a good, no great idea!

Wow…everything you touchis fantastic. Lowes mirror to that? Who knew?
really great! have a super week!! xo susan
Thanks for the inspiration. One of my projects this week in our new digs is to paint our fireplace box black and put a mirror and candles in it for the summer. A mirror with our monogram – an H just like your magazine mirror – will work perfectly.
This looks so easy-peasy! But I love the ribbon detail, I might have to do that in my new room!
I have never dared to etch a mirror or anything else myself but after reading your older post about how it can be done, I really might give it a try.
I really like how a simple change, like the etched letter H, can make all the difference in the look of this mirror.
Thank you for sharing, Eddie.
Best Regards
Paula Jo
E&J thanks for stopping by my blog. Loved your comment. xxpeggybraswelldesign.com
Love it, Eddie! Happy first day of summer! 😉
Around the Way Girl! Such a great choice – thank you!!! Yay! Thanks for the inspiration. Christian Louboutin Sale
Love love it! Incorporating the doorknob is GENIUS! I’m so stealing that idea. But I’ll definitely give you credit, if anyone should ask. And if they twist my arm. Until it hurts. 🙂 I’m a huge fan. Diane
Eddie

love those trips posted

I love this! I recently used an old doorknob for a very similar purpose! I’m always attracted to them at junk shops, and having run out of doors to use them on I began searching around our house for another use. Yours is divino
I make a mirror to hang upon my wall… they don’t need to be in every room… I am going to have to ponder on this great idea.
