It’s not too late to join me for a glittering evening of inspiration and delight at the Woodstock Opera House in Woodstock, Illinois. On Thursday, November 17, for one night only, I’ll be sharing my very best secrets to easy, chic decorating and entertaining that will dazzle friends and family from Thanksgiving all the way through New Year’s! It’s part of the historic Creative Living Series, sponsored by the Woodstock Fine Arts Association. Past speakers include Martha Stewart, Maya Angelou, Colin Cowie and, my personal favorite, Dr. Joyce Brothers! From the front door to the fireplace mantle, intimate gatherings to lavish parties, get the inside scoop on how to celebrate the season in style! Tickets are $60 each and worth every hard-earned penny, folks—and that’s a promise. Oh, and did I mention the decadent spread of hors d’oeuvres and desserts before the event? Fancy things like Peppered Beef Tenderloin and Pumpkin Cheesecake Rounds. There’s wine, too. Lots of it. So what are you waiting for? Call 815.338.5300 for tickets or visit woostockoperahouse.com. Hope to see you soon, everyone!

Gorgeous photos, and I know you will provide those lucky enough to attend with wonderful ideas and inspiration! I will be close to Chicago this weekend, but unfortunately I’ll be firmly back on the east coast when you will be there…darn it!
Kat 🙂
Love the hurricane candle with the maize tied ’round. Very simple and elegant for Thanksgiving.
The floral arrangement with the apples is simply stunning! I love your tablescapes. I don’t feel they get enough attention in magazines and they have such a great impact when one entertains.
I wish Chicago was a tad closer, I’d be there!
I can’t make it to Chicago, but I am hoping that you may share a few entertaining pointers here in time for the holidays 🙂
it’s going to be a fabulous event and I’m jealous of those who are able to attend!…will try to make another event soon…
best,
maureen

I wish I could join you.The tables look just lovely. I am ready to plan my Thanksgiving table decor.
you’re killing me….that sounds like such a perfect evening!! But, alas, too far from Seattle. I hope you do a west coast event sometime {I know, I know, broken record!}. I am already inspired from your photos… love the indian corn around the hurricanes and that pear studded bouquet.
I will be there in Spirit!if not in body. Wish I could be there!
Happy Holidays to you both. xxpeggybraswelldesign.com
Did you know Groundhogs Day was filmed in that square? Make sure you don’t get snowed in forever…LOL.
I wish I could! Hope you and Jaithan have power. Dixie’s didn’t come back until Wed night. Happy weekend! xx
Good photos and loved the wheat sconce over the hurricane candle.
Wish I lived closer to Chicago. How about planning a Provincetown event one of these days? (Or anywhere on Cape Cod?) I would LOVE to join in! (I could help you organize it!!!!)
Come back to HP or CLT and we’ll be there with bells on!!
Best,
Liz
I wish Chicago was on my itinerary. I know that will be a wonderful event.
Love that little flower arrangement on the plate. The autumn flower arrangement with the fruit is stunning! The evening in Chicago sounds great. Have a wonderful time!
Pumpkin Cheesecake Rounds?! oohlala… Where can I find a recipe?! What a nice alternative to my same-every time version of PCC.
