While many of us are in the kitchen today, peeling and pureeing, blanching and baking, I thought I’d share a few images of our own Thanksgiving table. At the moment, good friends are en route from city to country for in intimate dinner in the dining room. The Oriental rug I found at an estate sale in Old Lyme, Connecticut, then had it thoroughly cleaned. The torn and tattered edges give the table a worldly, well-traveled feel I love. The plates are antique Spode from the 20s with an Indian Tree pattern in burnt orange and brown. For the glassware, I paired vintage Blinko wine glasses in amber hues with brass goblets from the Goodwill. The flatware is a modern mix of Bakelite, bone, Dirilyte and wood. Brass spiral candlesticks hold hand-dipped tapers in navy. Tomorrow morning, I plan to finish the table with fresh flowers, so if you need any last-minute inspiration, stay tuned to Twitter! Good luck, brave hosts, and Happy Thanksgiving to all!
So pretty and unique, thank you for sharing.
GORGEOUS! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Jaithan!

It’s been a while, and seeing this tablescaping was well worth the wait (and yes, I WOULD give just about anything of my collections for your horn handled fork & spoon! D*I*V*I*N*E!!!))………. This table is so PERRRRFECT for a lovely, warm & cozy THANKSGIVING meal, even if you were serving BIG MACS!!!!
Sending the best to you both for a splendid T’giving!

Gorgeous but what else would I expect!
Uh! I have these same brass candlesticks on my mantle! Two bucks, as I recall, at a Boy Scout tag sale. But they were thoroughly filthy then. Still had their labels on the bottom: “Hand crafted brass.” Took about an hour of washing and brass-polishing to bring them back to life. I,too, love them at this time of year. Happy Thanksgiving!
Gorgeous, Eddie, as always!!! Wishing you, your friends and your family a healthy and happy Thanksgiving and Holiday season 🙂
Oh its absolutely beautiful Eddie! I just love the rug and all the brass, its all perfect! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Jaithan!!

Happy Thanksgiving,
Such a beautiful table Eddie. I hope that you, your family and friends will enjoy this holiday weekend and stay Blessed!
Eddie, for most of us who don’t have your eye, you might want to put a “don’t try this at home” label on your pictures here! I certainly couldn’t put a flea-market rug, Goodwill cups, and mismatched silverware together into such a spectacular ensemble. You have some VERY lucky friends coming for dinner tomorrow! Love to you and Jaithan — Jen
Gorgeous! Especially love the cutlery.
I absolutely want to reach through my phone screen and snatch that gorgeous Spode!!! Sorry but I do. I love it. What a pretty table. Thanks for showing that beauty isn’t about the price tag. That’s something to be thankful for! Happy thanksgiving to you both.

Your tables are always so inspiring! I hope you both have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Everything is just gorgeous, Eddie. Love the china and the brass. Something different at every dinner, right? You are so clever.
I am sure you had a fabulous Thanksgiving with such a great table. Love the rug as a backdrop with the rust floral china and gold touches. I borrowed some of your previous tables for a blog story on Thanksgiving tablescapes. Thanks for the inspiration.
Cheers,
Claudia
Lovely & beautiful. Happy Holidays!

Looks so rich, warm and welcoming…Thanksgiving perfection! Love those octagon chargers! Hope you and Jaithan had a wonderful time. xx Danielle
Thank you so much for sharing your table with us. It is always a treat to see. I never ever would have thought of using an oriental rug as a tablecloth. Once again a genius Eddie Ross move. Hope you and Jaithan and friends had a very happy Thanksgiving.
So fun to see you used my mother’s India Tree Spode china pattern (passed on to my niece Shan) and candlesticks that match my uncle Ben’s brass candlesticks (used by my daughter, Brittany, on her Thanksgiving table) on your table this year. Also, my Uncle Ben’s footed bowl (living on prominent display at my sister’s house now) which you used in the dessert buffet in your Thanksgiving post at Lonnie in the past. Great design is timeless, don’t you think? And lovely things that belonged to someone special bring back such vivid memories.
I love your attention to detail and the mix of beautiful things you put together.
Love the warm cinnabar and brass/gold tones on this stunning table. I spy my grandmother’s china AND brass candlesticks. How fun is that?
Camille
Stunning!
It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without Spode India Tree on the table! I was fortunate to receive 12 place settings from Grandma Laura….she had fabulous taste, and wouldhave enjoyed your design!
I’ve read so many comments and have nothing to add. You are AMAZING!! It is out of this world (yet worldly), as always. Everything about it came together like magic! Love every detail! All your tables amaze me. I even print some out. And I’m cheap with the toner. (Do you ever get sick of all the gushing? 😉 I WAS excited to share my Christmas table with YOU, but now… Check it out anyway, my latest post. Not quite as original or mind blowing as anything Eddie, but I had fun.
Love to you both,
xoxo
Alexandra
great information you write it very clean. I am very lucky to get this tips from you.
You must have had such a wonderful time around that table…it’s gorgeous…very warm & inviting, I wouldn’t have wanted to get up!
My mom came home from the hospital on Thanksgiving, but her dear friend used to be the chef at Le Dome in the seventies, and he cooked us up a lucious turkey dinner…so no hospital holiday food, thank goodness! 🙂
xo J~
What a beautiful & inspiring table setting dahhiling.
