Famed decorator Carleton Varney is having another moment, this one bigger, brighter and more beautiful than the last. HIs latest book, Mr. Color, is a vibrant homage to two of his greatest projects, the Greenbrier in West Sulphur Springs, West Virginia and the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan. For a year now, we’ve had the honor of working with Mr. Varney’s son Sebastian, creating windows for the New York City outpost of fabric house Carleton V. Their newest collection mixes prints, embroideries and wovens to dazzling effect! Check out our Moroccan-inspired retreat, just in time for the winter chill! Huge thanks also to Kristen Tilly Foster for making all of the fabric hangings and pillows. She’s an incredible talent who does all of Carolyne Roehm’s work. Enjoy!
