While we still have our toes in the sand, here's a bedroom makeover I did for a super fun couple in Dobb's Ferry, New York, published in The Nest.
For now, I'll let you read all about it in the magazine.
Just click twice to enlarge.
On Friday, I'll show you everything that went on behind the scenes, including a whirlwind trip through a junk shop in New Jersey, where we found the most incredible furniture to transform!
as always, love love love it!
Can’t wait for the behind the scenes sneak peek; looks great from the mag!
another great makeover! i love seeing all the details behind your work, can’t wait!!
I’m not usually a fan of red — but this is just a perfect splash of it. Looks great!
the red chandelier is just the touch…
LOVE what you did with the chandelier and table lamps!
E & J, This looks amazing and how fun for a young couple. You can take any room and make it chic, I am convinced!! Loved the nesting tables and the headboard is a great idea and so doable for any homeowner. You need a show, HGTV needs you!!! We need YOU!! xoxo Kathysue
What an awesome spread! Once again, you have shown people that you don’t have to have a lot of $$ to have a tasteful beautiful space!–gretchen O
I HAVE to find that Magazine! So excited about your article in it!
Eddie, it looks fantastic! I love the color palette, so crisp and modern. Fabulous job as always, my dear! xo
So Tailored and Chic! I love it! Now I just need to go find a set of nesting tables to paint:)
Perfect! I love that you spray painted the crystals!
I absolutely love this room. I adore your style Eddie. I am a vintage fanatic, but don’t necessarily like entire rooms done in one period. This is the perfect blend of masculine, feminine, vintage and modern. Dream bedroom. You inspire me so much.
I love the lamps!
Fantastic! I love reading where you find things and how you put it all together. You guys are the best.
Total hotness, what a lucky couple to get a bedroom done by you guys!!
Nice! I’m in the beginning stages of our bedroom redo, so thanks for the inspiration.
Wow I love it, but what’s new your awesome :+)
I am already seeing some great ideas just from the photo. FYI, I loved the bench you redid in a recent post. Drooled to be exact. I thought I would never find one of those. I was having a yardsale Saturday and a man who owns some storage units came by and said He had two units and I could have the contents if I was interested. FOR FREE!! The first one I opened there was a 2 seater bench like the 4 seater you had. Bingo. I am going to do a makeover similar to yours and post on my blog and telling everyone where the idea came from. If I had not seen that post, I would have looked right past that bench. Thank you!!!
GO EDDIE, GO EDDIE!!!! YOUR THE MAN ….
Can’t wait to see the behind the scenes, I find that the most fascinating!!!! looks fab though….

Looks so great. Can’t wait to read all about the details!
wow. it looks amazing. (but i’m not suprised!) love the nesting tables, the artwork and the mix of yellow and red with the neutral background! striking!
and do you know how to get a subscription to ‘the nest’? i’ve looked several times, but honestly can’t figure it out. (maybe you need to subscribe to the knot?) any advice is appreacited.
Just picked up the magazine and can’t wait to also see your behind-the-scenes post! Enjoy the sand and surf!
Go Red. very effective makeover Eddy , well done.

xoxo Elizabeth
Love the makeover. Happened to notice what you did to the horse painting – I would have walked right past that. Glad to see you’re coming to the DC Flea. Thanks for the mention. Michele
Looking good. It will be fun to see the behind the scenes work.
This room, to quote Rachel Zoe, is banana’s!
…no my way to the store for a copy so I can devour those pages in person! Nobody does it like Eddie.
oops! “on” my way! …was so excited I typed too quickly. 🙂
I shall proceed to revamp my nest as a result of this.Awesome! Inspiring & beautiful!
You mentioned getting the headboard at a junk shop. What is a junkshop? I would love to know and how to find one in my town. What to ask or look for.

Love this! Need to go get the magazine 🙂
What a beautiful (and minimalistic) makeover! I love the punches of color in the otherwise neutral room. The red chandelier is my favorite touch! The rooms looks great!

What is the name of the junk shop? I live in NJ and am always looking for sources! Please share? 🙂
Love that bedside table! Such a good idea. I will make one myself soon!
i went to highschool in dobbs ferry! isn’t it cute?
Those mirrored nesting tables are to die for (as my mother used to say). What a great way to salvage one of my favorite pieces of furniture–nesting tables.
I had to tell you that I loved what you did for that room…and btw, thanks, because I’m now obsessed with the yellow lamps!!!
It turned out great! I love that red chandelier!!
the color scheme is tdf! so unexpected, so chic! they must be thrilled!!
Get out, Eddie! These are the photos I was waiting for, and I can’t believe this is a budget room makeover because it is so fab!!! Thanks for the before photo – that is amazing, can’t wait to view more!
How gorgeous! Fresh, sexy, modern and inviting. All at one time.
Loving the red detail – such a fun boost of energy.
Thanks for your comments.
Debra and I will be launching Marija’s site soon. Had a chat to Cory about it and he gave me his blessing. He’s a remarkable and amazing person. I’ll announce the launch via the blog, however am sure Debra will tell you about it before that. Thanks for wanting to contribute.
