We're in Richmond this week for Ivy Market, a lively and important two-day shopping event with a portion of proceeds helping to improve the lives of children battling cancer.
Ever since our travel schedule compelled us to put our Etsy store on hiatus, I've been looking for new ways to share my growing collection of handpicked, personally curated vintage tabletop and accessories.
After years of styling at Food Network and Martha Stewart Living, with insider access to their vast treasure troves of props, I've learned that the first step to easy, chic entertaining is simply having the right stuff! It's the essential pieces that work both individually and together to create beautiful buffets, bars and tables. That's been a guiding principle of mine ever since our first pieces appeared in Vogue!
Flash forward two years, and our current collection spans centuries and styles, mixing silver, brass, gold, porcelain, teak, Lucite, alabaster and glass, all to dazzling effect!
Ivy Market will be held at the Jepson Alumni Center at the University of Richmond on Wednesday from 5 to 9 and Thursday from 9 to 4.
I'm also giving two presentations on easy, chic entertaining, one at 5:30 pm on Wednesday and the other at 10:30 am on Thursday, It's going to be a fantastic shopping event for a profoundly important cause. Hope to see you in Richmond!
Oh, how wonderful! Wish I could be there! I have a friend’s daughter who is graduating from University of Richmond on Mother’s day. I will tell her to go…if she can! She would love you all!

And of course you are now going to one of my favorite places in the whole world! I love Richmond – and graduated from UR. I suppose it’s a good thing that my hubby is out of town (read – I don’t have child care) for this weekend or you might think I was turning into a crazy E+J stalker! 😉 That being said, I am so telling all of my friends who still live in Richmond to come by!!
Totally wish I could be there! I will catch up with you one of these days!
beautiful pieces, Eddie…I’m sure the event will be an amazing success…so wonderful that some of the proceeds will be helping kids who are battling cancer…
best to you and Jaithan..

I was just in Richmond.

Creating a core collection of pieces that play well together is key. Then you can find the standout pieces that will create a whole new knockout look each time.
Have fun in Richmond.
Still trying to make it tomorrow morning on my way to D.C….. maybe! Look forward to more pics!
Hi Eddie. Sure wish I could be there for your presentation … I’m sure I’d walk away with a pocketful of tips! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog and for your compliment on the card illustrations … means a lot. I love your window displays so much, I think I just may HAVE to do an illustration of one of them for you sometime! 😉 Have a lovely week!

I am a tad sad that I will miss this. Sound so wonderful. You need to come to Utah!
E+J- What a wonderful event for an incredibly important cause. I have friends in Virginia and I wish I could come by but, like Traci, I have kids to watch!

Wishing I was there 🙁 Have fun!
Thank you for always being so involved and generous. Wish I lived closer!
Warm hugs to you both,
Mon
Oh I wish I could be there. Love you both and Richmond, VA. and for such a worthy cause.

I’m especially smitten with that silverware in this post! It’s hard to find pieces as striking as these!
Okay. I’m jealous 🙂 Everyone seems to get you in town for some great event, and I keep waiting for something in Massachusetts. Help me out, please? And what I wouldn’t give for the store of items like yours to pull from when hosting a party! Where on earth do you keep it all (never mind remember what you have!) Have a great week…
